Makeup on clay

- Clay fired at low temperature
- Makeup and unconventional materials, sealed
These pieces emerged during my stay at Gustavo Pérez's studio in 2025.
They were fired at low temperature and then worked with makeup and other unconventional materials, sealed to fix their surface. More than a finish, this process was a natural extension of my craft as a makeup artist: a way of returning to skin, but through clay.
Each piece answers to a specific moment of personal and artistic transition. They are records of a change of course, where form stopped obeying function and began to listen to other possibilities. They are skins, vestiges of a process. Fragments where makeup stopped covering and became matter.
This body of work is accompanied by an essay on the process and the thoughts that ran through it:
La piel toca, pero también sabe
